the 2007 BET Awards

If anyone could do it… THEY COULD… I know BET did not start of with JHud and JenHolly singing And I am Telling You…………. Even if Miss Holliday did look like she was having a seizure. And I Love me some JHud… but the Pudge Patrol needed to call her out on that dress… I know she got people now… she’s got a lace front… I know that comes with posse.

And the “Let’s Get Ready to Rumble” guy… could have Gone.
And Why Mo’Nique always gotta be doin some bYAWNce’. I really wanted it to be different from last time… and that Ode to the lesser dreamgirl, was not necessary… and Mo… no wig changes please, but she kept’em coming… Ghetto fab.

Ne-Yo was barely singin… and I maintain that he has some head deformity… we have never seen his head uncovered… he prolly got a recedED hair line… and as far as his performance: When in doubt… have half naked women and fire behind you… that sure makes a hot performance. NOT.

Diddy is trying to be an R&B star… Keshia Cole does not wow me… and the whole… “classical Hip Hop” thing with live strings in the back is played out… the Lil Kim appearance was hott… even if her stage presence was a lil rusty.

Chris Brown needs to let go of that Nerd look. Im happy JHud is still winning awards… go her.

OK. SO onto b.
-First. I AM SO INCREDIBLY MAD that she dragged Michelle for the Chicago run of the Color Purple to dance BACKUP for her… FUCK YOU BEYONCE…
-Second… I am so mad that they made Kelly jump on her performance….UGH.
-MAN FUCK MUSICWORLD. Matthew Knowles is a fucked up mastermind.
-And Why Why Why… did they have to drag Solange’s career bitting ass up there. LIKE SHE WAS THE 4TH MEMBER… so mad.
It was cute when Mo’ came out and ‘posed for the cam’ra’ with… the blond bimbo though.

Priceless moment…
Diane chillin it to T-Pain singing “Buy you a drank.” Specially cause you know she wanted one.

On to the Gerald Tribute… Patti Patti Patti… she got too much death in her life. Showing up in her Saturday/”Going to the Supermarket” wig… Eddie Lavert, Gladys Knight, and Yolanda Adams, and Patti LaBelle. That was touching… well ok… I honestly don’t like when they give multiple powerhouses mics and tell them to go for it… Gladys was graceful, and bowed out… Yolanda went for the sustained middle notes, Eddie inserted his baritone “yeah, yeahs” here and there, and Patti was all over the place; relentlessly cooing and ooing and o’ yeahing all up and down the scale… The whole idea of unstructured powerhouses, puts a damper on it for me. Not gonna lie.

50 just walked around for the beginning of his performance… and the silk acrobatics thing… also old. Black people… can we do better please? We are innovators.

The tribute to Miss Diane. The montage was fab. OMG. ERYKUH BADU. LOVE HER. It has been too long boo. And her rendition complete with costume change –and mixing a lil of her song in there was too fly…she OWNED it. We miss you miss Badu. Come. Nurture our ears again. Followed by Miss Chaka… I’m still mad I did not get to see her when she was at Jamestown. This performance was not her at her best… but… it was still Chaka Khan. O Stevie… he never ceases to delight me. And then when Diane’s 2 famous kids… and the rest of them, paid tribute to her… and gave her the award… that was too cute… She know that one child… Evan… look like Michael… Miss Ross, know she still look good. But she need to beat Traci for wearing a red dress… knowing she taking focus from her mama.

James Brown Tribute… pass…

AND UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUM. Y did bYAWNce’ have another outfit for AFTER her performance. AND. NOTE THAT SHE SAID… “and thank you to Kelly, My sister Solange, and Michelle, thank you for being a part of MY performace.” Bitch.

Not a sleeper, it was hott… but disappointing.
